Petitions.now

Your voice. Your privacy.

This is the privacy notice for the development version of Petitions.now. The operator’s contact details and final retention schedule must be confirmed before public launch.

What signing means

We ask for your name and email to confirm your support, prevent duplicate signatures, and manage the petition record. Your signature is counted only after you verify your email. Signing does not create a full user account.

What is public

A petition’s title, text, creator name, intended recipient, approximate area, dates and verified total are public after approval. Signers’ names and email addresses are not displayed publicly. Authority summaries exclude private signer email addresses.

Location is your choice

Location permission is requested only when you choose a location feature. Nearby searches use approximate coordinates. You can always select a country and locality manually. Volunteer registration stores the area you confirm, not precise device coordinates.

Updates and volunteering

Petition updates require a separate optional choice. Joining the team requires a separate registration and explicit consent. Signing a petition does not register you as a volunteer.

Retention and deletion

Expired verification links and temporary abuse-control records are removed by maintenance jobs. Authorised administrators can process deletion requests. Before public launch, the operator must publish a privacy contact, retention periods, and a request process appropriate to the countries served.

This preview

Example petitions and test verification flows do not represent real campaigns or real signatures. The downloadable offline preview does not send form data; its temporary demonstration state disappears when the page reloads.
